Join the movement to #DefundNYPD!

We are calling on Mayor de Blasio, Speaker Corey Johnson, and the New York City Council to defund and demilitarize the NYPD's bloated, almost $6 billion expense budget and redirect that money and all related savings to services, programs, and infrastructure for Black, Latinx and other communities of color.

Work with families that have loss loved ones to the NYPD (New York Police Department), and survivors of NYPD assaults, and false arrest.

There are many ways to support, and no experience is necessary.  Learn to conduct intakes, help build out our rapid response and healing work, and support the families leadership to carry out campaigns that hold NYPD accountable.

To get involved please fill out a membership form or contact Loyda@justicecommittee.org.

COVID-19 has created new conditions for police violence against Black and Brown New Yorkers in NYC.  Thank you to all the New Yorkers that filmed and exposed all the NYPD violence taking place under the guise of COVID-19 and Social Distancing enforcement, including Mayor de Blasio's curfew. Keep watching/filming NYPD and share your video's with us so we can try to support the victims and expose the misconduct and corruption.

Click here to read our COVID CopWatch guide and submit a membership form to get involved.
