COVID-19 has created new conditions for police violence against low-income communities of color that will impact those who are most vulnerable to criminalization and/or infection the most.
JC is calling on NYers to CopWatch while practicing social distancing.

Join the movement to #DefundNYPD!
We are calling on Mayor de Blasio, Speaker Corey Johnson, and the New York City Council to cut AT LEAST $1 billion directly from the NYPD's bloated, almost $6 billion FY21 expense budget and redirect that money and all related savings to services, programs, and infrastructure for Black, Latinx and other communities of color.
We are calling on ALL councilmembers to VOTE NO on any budget that does not meet these demands.

We need your help to support survivors of police violence and families whose loved ones were killed by police. There are many ways to help ranging from sharing social media post and phone banking, generating content and creating materials, and info graphics, co-facilitating meeting and trainings, providing direct emotional, legal, and case support, escorting families to and from meetings, event and actions and so much more. Many in our communities, including our members, have been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis. JC members and staff are working together to ensure that all our members and their loved ones have access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and basic essentials.
Unfortunately because of our limited resources, we are only able to provide mutual aid support to Justice Committee (JC) members & their loved ones. If you are a JC member in need of support please contact | 201-870-1661
